Helicopter transfer
Ege Transfer arranges helicopter transfers along the Aegean coast through licensed operator partners — we organise the flight, we do not operate the aircraft ourselves. A typical Izmir to Bodrum leg takes roughly 50 minutes against about three hours by road. Because pricing depends on the operator, aircraft type, route and availability, helicopter transfers are quoted individually rather than from a fixed tariff.

Frequently asked questions
Do you operate the helicopters yourselves?
No. Commercial air transport in Turkey requires an operating licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM). Ege Transfer is not an aircraft operator; we arrange helicopter transfers through licensed operator partners and coordinate the ground legs. The operator's name is stated in your quote before you commit.
How much does a helicopter transfer cost?
There is no fixed tariff. The price depends on the operator, aircraft type, route length, whether a return leg or positioning flight is needed, and availability on your date. We return a written quote, usually the same day, once we have your route and date.
How far in advance should I request one?
At least three to five working days is realistic, because flight planning and permissions take time and helicopter availability on the Aegean coast is limited in high season. Same-day requests are occasionally possible but should not be counted on.
What happens if weather prevents the flight?
Flight decisions rest with the operator and the pilot in command, on safety grounds. If a flight cannot proceed, we arrange a road transfer as a fallback wherever timing allows — that is one practical reason to book the ground and air legs through the same point of contact.
How many passengers and how much luggage can travel?
This depends entirely on the aircraft. Light twin helicopters commonly used on these routes typically carry four to six passengers with limited soft luggage. Hard suitcases are often the constraint rather than passenger count, so tell us your luggage when requesting a quote.
Where does the helicopter depart from?
Departure is from a licensed helipad or airport apron, not from an arbitrary location — the operator confirms the exact point. We arrange your car transfer to that point and from the landing site to your final address.
