What happens to your transfer if your flight is delayed

When you give us your flight number, your transfer is tied to your actual landing time rather than the scheduled one. If the aircraft is late, your pickup shifts automatically at no extra cost, and the first 60 minutes of waiting after landing are free. If the flight is cancelled, the booking moves to your new date at no charge.

Why we ask for the flight number

The flight number is the real reference the transfer is planned around. The time you write at booking is an estimate; what actually decides when the driver is at the terminal is whether the aircraft is in the air.

We start tracking the flight the moment we have the number. If departure slips, we see it without you telling us and move the plan accordingly. That is why there is no such thing as 'my flight was late so I missed my transfer'.

What happens on a delay

Your pickup is recalculated from the actual landing time. There is no waiting charge and the price does not change — what was fixed at booking is what you pay.

The first 60 minutes after landing are free waiting time. If passport control is slow or the baggage belt takes its time, your driver waits within that window. Beyond 60 minutes an hourly rate applies, and we call you before that point is reached so nothing on the bill is a surprise.

If the flight is cancelled

The booking moves to your new flight at no charge. Since we take no prepayment, cancelling costs you nothing either — a WhatsApp message is enough.

If your replacement flight is on a different day, just send the new flight number and we replan at the same price. We confirm availability for that date within minutes.

If your luggage does not arrive

Filing a lost-luggage report can take 30-60 minutes at the airport. This is the most common situation that runs past the free waiting window.

If it happens, tell your driver or us. The driver can keep waiting, or we can release the vehicle while you complete the paperwork and set a new time. We talk through the difference between the two before deciding.

How the return pickup time is set

On the return the logic is reversed: your flight is already fixed and what matters is reaching the terminal in time. We calculate the pickup backwards from your departure.

That calculation includes not just the driving time but the congestion the route is known to carry on that day and at that hour. In summer the Cesme motorway slows on Sunday evenings and the city exit slows on weekday mornings between 07:00 and 09:00 — we bring pickup forward in those windows.

  • Domestic departure: at the terminal 2 hours ahead
  • International departure: at the terminal 3 hours ahead
  • An extra 20-30 minutes in peak season and on known slow routes

Questions about this

Will a delay cost me extra?

No. For flight-related delays your pickup shifts free of charge, and the first 60 minutes after landing are included. Only waiting beyond 60 minutes is charged hourly, and we let you know before that point.

Can I change my flight number after booking?

Yes, at any time and free of charge, including on the day. Send the new number on WhatsApp — we move tracking to the new flight and recalculate the pickup time.
